Cambox - new mini portable DVR
Our new mini portable DVR is ideal for short term applications whereby you don’t want to fix in place any hard wired CCTV.
The mini DVR uses an SD card to store the recorded footage (up to 16G max) and time & date stamps all of your video footage . (It does also have a small amount of built in memory) .
This all sounds pretty standard I imagine you’re thinking but this handheld recorder has some superb extra features :
1. You can programme the recorder to switch on and start recording at a certain time of day and also stop recording at a certain time of day.
2. It comes with a attachable 12v rechargeable battery which means that you can connect any 12v camera and not have to worry about how to power that camera as it will draw it’s power from the battery.
3. It can record in either high resolution 640×480 mode or the more standard 320×240.
4. It outputs to either TV or PC/laptop .
5. You can set it to offer you audible or vibration warnings or set it up to be completely silent (for instance if the battery is running low or you are running out of recording space). It will even recognise that storage space is low and automatically save the current video footage file so that you don’t lose it.
However the real icing on the cake is that this recorder can be completely controlled by the 4 button remote control that is supplied with it. You can switch on & off and start & stop recordings without ever having to touch the recorder itself - great for covert surveillance!
